Limited Edition MAC Antonio Lopez Lip Palette - SWATCH

I am loving red lipsticks right now. I have vowed however that I will be going the next month wearing next to no make-up whatsoever as I want to give my skin a breather and I'm actually loving the natural look at the moment. I don't know how long I will last.. I will obviously start wearing make-up once again. Eek!

A month or so ago, I watched a YouTube clip by Michelle of Beauty & the Blog "The Perfect Red Lip."
After watching this short clip, I loved this look and thought to buy my own red lip kit.
Red lips are so classy and timeless. Very underrated too.
The new lip palette I purchased is perfect.
The palette consists of three shades, from a coral red to a deep red.
(From Left to Right..  Scarlet Ibis (Matte), MAC Red (Satin), Deeply Adored (Matte))

I'm loving "Deeply adored" myself. The Antonio Lopez make-up collection seems to be doing really well. These shades are great for Autumn/Fall.

RRP £25 Selfridges.
Antonio Lopez was a much loved Fashion Illustrator featuring in the likes of Vogue & Harper's Bazaar. He illustrated the most quirky and vibrant illustrations. This collection is a tribute to him. His work is on the cover of all palettes. The whole collection consists of eye palettes, two other lip palettes, blushes, make up bag, mirror and even a tote.

SWATCH.

The Coral shade isn't a shade I'd typically go for but the other two are stunning!!

I also purchased a lip liner which IS NOT in the Antonio Lopez collection. I thought it would go really well with the last two shades of red in the palette. (swatch above)

RRP £14.50 Selfridges.
I'm very impressed with this collection and wished I'd bought more, but I'm being sensible with my money at the moment so this will do hehe. Hope you're all having a great Sunday.

Contents of One's handbag..

Hey my darlings! I hope you're all well. Feel like I haven't been giving my blog much loving recently, so I have a new post tonight & another tomorrow :)

I recently asked my Twitter followers what post I should do.. I got feedback from some asking for me to do a post on what essentials are kept in my handbag. So, here I am, telling the world what I carry on an everyday basis!

Firstly, I always carry some sort of moisturiser in my bag, in this case I found MAC Strobe cream. With the Winter season it's always important to carry moisturising products as the skin dries out much quicker!
That takes me nicely onto my foundation..
I sometimes go without foundation and just pop some moisturiser on instead. But on the days I use foundation, I use the tiniest amount as MAC's Studio Sculpt foundation is quite thick. It's a brilliant moisturising foundation, I love it. Gives the skin a great glow :) Always great to re apply about 5-6 hours after first application.

Lastly, I always carry my MAC skin finish. Adds nice colour to your face when you forget to wear a blush or even a foundation. Love it!

I always carry a mascara on me, I'm not the biggest fan of this new one by No7 but it's fine for that everyday look.
I carry Carmex in my bag too, Carmex or Vaseline. I'm not fussed. Providing I have some sort of lip balm on, I'm happy. Again, in this weather your skin will dry out lots so its very important to re-apply moisturisers and lip balms. VERY IMPORTANT! I'm such a believer in moisturising regularly! & Lastly, I like to carry a neutral lipstick. I always have one "just in case" For example: Just in case you end up making spontanious plans, atleast you know you can go from simple to someone whose made a little effort within minutes!

One last important MUST have.. Perfume! I adore perfume as a lot of you will know. I won't leave my house without a spray or two ;-)
Lady Million is the GODMOTHER of all perfumes hehe my fave!

Hope you liked this post. Just a quick CONGRATULATIONS to Lucy aka @lucyyr20. You won the MAC/Christmas giveaway.
I will hold another giveaway when I reach 100 Facebook Followers! I'm on 80 at the moment. 100 would be a great achievement. Will let you know when I get there :-)

Also, just wanted everyone to see this as it put a MASSIVE smile on my face & I even chuckled like a hyena lol This is for all my lovelies that have worked hard ALL day and need a smile on their faces..
YEP! It's Alan Carr as Jodie Marsh pahaha!!!!

MAC Zoom Lash Mascara.. REVIEW!

Hey dolls.
The post before the Giveaway I talked about how i'd treated myself to a few bits from MAC :) had to be done really ;-)

They sent a sample of this Mascara. Gotta admit, I quite like it. I'm a bit stubborn and tend to use the same Mscara 'Falsies' again & again. I have tried others, like the one by No7 but I just don't see much of a difference. My lashes are naturally quite long but I like the 'fake' eyelash look. So, I'm happy with anything that makes them volumise and look darker.

I love the texture of this mascara, it really is very smooth and glides on really well. It's quite a thick, waxy type mascara which is nice if you like thick mascaras. The reason why i really like this mascara is the shade of black. Oh my gosh, it's JET black, THAT is what I like in a mascara, & it lasts ages! So guess it pretty much does everything it describes to do..

This is what it looks like on..

Two coats

This retails at £13.40 & comes in 4 colours. I'd give it a whirl if you're willing to spend that much. Even the high street mascara's are about £10 these days, so the price actually isn't bad at all considering its by MAC.

MAC Perfection.. FOTD

Hey lovies :) I hope you're all well. Finally got round to posting. I've been looking for a new MAC foundation for a little while.
The last MAC foundation I wore was Face & Body (C5) Which was lovely & lasted me ages BUT it was slightly too thin for me.

The nearest place for me to buy MAC cosmetics is in MK.
I've been so busy with the new job, I haven't really had the time to take a trip. So i decided to be a little brave and just order the shade I thought would look good on me..
Just before I added a Foundation to my Online Shopping Basket, I saw that MAC offer a chat service to talk to an advisor :) So I gave it a go..
I spoke to a lovely lady named Danni. She is an absolute genius. I emailed her a couple pics of myself so she could choose the right shade for me.. She picked all the right stuff.. THANK YOU!
It's always such a big risk when you can't try the shades on, so I was so relieved to know that I hadn't wasted my money.

I ended up buying:
Strobe Cream "de-snoozes, de-stresses, moistens, freshens and boosts the look of dull, flat or tired-looking skin" - £12/30ml

I've only used it twice now but I do like it so far.. it's left my skin feeling smooth and fresh all day. So far, so good. Only bad point is I wish the tube was a little bigger.

Studio Sculpt Foundation  (SPF 15) in (NC42)  "Hydrating, instantly revitalizes the skin while keeping it looking smooth, soft and plush" £23

I've got to admit, definitely what I was looking for in a Foundation & it does everything it describes. This foundation is very thick so you only need a little bit if you only want Medium coverage but you can easily build to make it thicker. Love it :)

Mineralize Skin Finish (Medium/Dark) "Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day." £18.50

This is a great skin finish, looks very light coloured considering its for Medium/Dark skin but It works so well. I already use the Limited Edition Mineralize Skin Finish "Sunny By Nature" So again, I'm chuffed.

I treated myself to these MAC bits for Christmas :) Money well spent I think!

P.S. Keep an eye out for my Christmas Giveaway.. COMING SOON!

SOS - MAC "Sunny by Nature"

Hey darlings!
I really need your help. My Limited Edition skin finish by MAC named "Sunny by Nature" is starting to run low. I want to buy another, was hoping to track one down in the UK.
Is there any website or anyone I can contact to buy Limited Edition make up?
It's my absolute favourite, I don't go a day without it :)

Hope you guys can advise me.
Lotsa love Leesh of UnLeeshd x x x

Thank You Miss Adrienne Adores :)

Bonjourrr! How amazingly sunny is it today? Its days like today I wish I was on the coast somewhere reading a fab book preferably by Nicholas Sparks. (Yes, a book. I love being a geek!)
I woke up this morning feeling a bit.. 'meh' & 'bleurgh' Can't even explain it but hopefully you get what I mean lol.. I think it's the lack of not having my Blackberry, Laptop or a life ha.. I then watched Dear John, which made me feel a gazillion times worse lol *bad idea*!
Yeah so anyway, I was feeling sorry for myself until I got a knock at the door.
I ordered some edible glitter & colourful beads earlier this week to bake birthday cupcakes for my mummy (If they look pretty enough, i'll be doing a post on em). About ten minutes later, the postman arrived and I recieved this..

I love Leopard print =D x

In the gorgeous Leopard print packet was..

I love just how pretty the wrapping was, I felt like an excited child in a sweet shop lol

The lipstick is 'Kraft' which is a creamy light brown, which is a stunning shade on my skin tone.

So, Thank you lots Adrienne. I love it :) Cheered me up loads lol x

Emergency Cosmetics!

Afternoon you gorgeous lot!
I've missed blogging so SO much,  so thought i'd post a mini post before the Bollywood EOTD which will be at the end of the week (YAY!) =D
So, I had a thought today. If I was in a rush and needed to take my favourite cosmetics with me, what would I take? I own a lot of make-up and cosmetics in general. This is what I settled on..

Astral Cream. I've mentioned this cream in a lot of my posts. This cream is like fresh air to my skin, it feels amazing, its so light and you can use it as an all over moisteriser :) You can purchase it at Superdrug, Tescos, Wilkinsons & Bodycare.

St Ives. Apricot Scrub. I use this every morning, I love this scrub as it takes all the dead skin off your face and makes it feel so smooth and clean.

MAC Sunny by Nature Skin finish. I love this stuff. I use it as a blusher as well as an all over skin finish depending on my mood. I don't wear foundation on a daily basis, If i'm in a rush i'll give my skin a once over with this amazing product. I love it, and it lasts ages!!

Bobbi Brown Gel Pot. This gel liner has to be my favourite. Its so smooth and so easy to use. I can't go a day without eyeliner so this would be a must!! hehe x
Urban Decay Palettes. I own quite a few Urban Decay palettes, they are so useful, you can wear them lightly for that everyday look or you can mix and blend colours for that heavier look.

What products would you take in your handbag or suitcase if you were in a rush?
Hope you liked this post.

Dress sorted, Make-Up Look? Part 2.

Hello all! :)Hope you're all well.
Right, who remembers the post "Dress sorted, Make-up Look?"
For those who haven't seen it Here's the link!

Unfortunately, the birthday girl was a little poorly over the weekend *Lots of love to you missy*
So we didn't go out in the end. However, I am going to show you what I would have done Make-up wise if i had gone out.
* Remember, I'm not a beauty blogger, this won't be a perfect make-up tutorial hehe*

 For this look, I used;

  1. Urban Decay VOL II Palette
  2. Accessorize Eyeshadow Palette
  3. MAC 'Up the Amp' Lipstick
  4. Nars 'Orgasm' Blush
  5. Urban Decay Primer Potion
  6. MAC Face & Body Foundation (C5)
  7. Bobbi Brown 'Black Ink' Gel Liner
  8. Benefit 'IT' Stick
  9. Vaseline :)
So I started off with a moisturized face. Using 'Astral' (I mentioned this amazing cream in Part 1). I then went over it with MAC Face & Body Foundation. Look at the amount I used. So worth every penny!
I used the Benefit IT stick to cover up any blemishes etc.

This is all i needed for the full face (inc neck!)

Ready for eyeshadow, blush & lipstick

*Before applying the rest of the make-up. I put a little bit of Vaseline on my lips. I'll explain why later*

I used a little Urban Decay Primer Potion first (Its amazing! as a lot of you already know! Makes the make up last ages without any annoying creases.)
For the look I wanted, I started off using a lovely Silverish/Grey shade from the Accesorize palette.
Light Silver/Grey shade.

I put this on the eye first. I only needed a light layer.
After applying a layer of this shade, I then went onto the Urban Decay VOL II Palette. I love this palette, I bought it for about £25 (Staff Discount ;) It has lasted ages. Again, definitely worth every penny!

I used 'Gunmetal' which is a lovely Charcoal Grey shade.
I used the MAC 217 Blending Brush to blend The 'Gunmetal' eyeshadow into the Light Silver/Grey. You will eventually end up with this

Both colours, Blended well.

To finish the eyes off, just go over it with a Black Gel/Liquid Liner. I'm a big fan of Bobbi Brown 'Black Ink' Gel liner.

On to the lips, earlier I mentioned putting Vaseline on my lips before I even started on my eyes. The reason I did this is so that the lips are soft, ready for the lipstick. If you were to put Vaseline on just before the Lipstick, The lipstick wouldn't have the same effect. It would look too shiny & oily.
You'll find that by the time you've done your eye make-up. Your lips will have the tiniest amount of Vaseline on them, and be as soft as anything. Ready for the gorgeous Lipstick :)

I used this lovely colour by MAC 'Up the Amp' Its a mix of Hot Pink and a hint of Purple. Stunning!

I put the tiniest amount on and thought it looked amazing! I love this shade.

Straightened the hair as it has grown loads :)

Eye Make-Up Shot!

*FIRST Beauty Post* Purple Smokey Eye

Hello there you gorgeous people!
I have LOVED reading your blogs and My Wish List has quadrupled hehe I want soo many products after reading all of your blog posts.
As a lot of my close & personal Twitter followers, Friends & Family know, PURPLE is my absolute favorite colour.

This is my first beauty post. I am a newbie so it isn't perfect but I hope in time they will get so much better :)

  1. MAC Face & Body Foundation (C5)
  2. Benefit IT Stick Concealer
  3. AVON Luxe Lace True colour Eyeshadow Quad
  4. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner (Black Ink)
  5. MAC Paints (Stilife)
  6. Nars, Orgasm Blush

, I started off with a moisturized face, I love using Astral, i've used it since i was a kid and *touch wood* I've always had flawless skin.

Next step,  blend the Face & Body foundation in really well. What I LOVE about this foundation is that it is so light, you only need a little pea sized amount for the full face.
It gives such a natural, flawless finish.
Face & Body Foundation, Great for light coverage

After blending this in well, I put the Benefit IT Stick on the 'dark circle' area to minimise the darkness and conceal blemishes.

Ready for the eye make-up..
I normally use Urban Decay primer potion as the base, but in this case I used the MAC paint in 'Stilife' as it's a creamy pink shade. Perfect base colour for the Purple smokey eye.

The eye with MAC Paint primer
The Avon palette is gorgeous, It has 4 lovely colours. (I will only be using the first 3)
I bought it when it first came out at the amazing price of £4. It is now £8.50, but so worth it!
A gorgeous sparkly white shade, two purple shades & a charcoal grey.
I started off with the white eyeshadow, you only need to use a little bit as the light purple is the main focus.
I went over the white with the purple, making sure I left the white eyeshadow visible in the inner corner of the eye.

The white & light purple blended in well.

Once both colours are on, use a good blending brush to add the darker purple.
I use the MAC 217 brush, which is amazing!
When doing this, I always start in the middle of the eye lid and work outwards, blending really well.

*It is important that you blend it well and outwards so that the smokey eye isn't too strong. You don't want it to look too harsh.*
This is what you should end up with.

If you want a darker smokey eye, then by all means use the Charcoal Grey shade. In this case the dark purple  was enough to give the effect I wanted.

Finish it off with a top eyeliner ( I used Bobbi Brown Gel Liner) and work it into the bottom.

This is the finished version.
I love finishing this look off with a gorgeous pink/coral blush. Nars 'Orgasm' blush is perfect! x x

I hope you like this post! eeek.
