Bollywood *E.O.T.D*

Finally, i've posted the long awaited Bollywood EOTD. I apologise for it being a week late, as you all know my Laptop has totally crashed on me but i've found a way of posting hehe yay! *The computer i'm using doesn't have the program I needed to edit & watermark the pics, so sorry for the quality of the photos*

So, I am a massive fan of Bollywood, not so much now but I love Bollywood movies from the  70s, 80s, & 90s era. I loved how glitzy and glamourous the women were, and how full of colour the dance sequences were, oh & lets not forget the cheesy love stories (I guess that's why i'm such a sucker for love). This post has been totally inspired by the wonderfully beautiful actresses. Here are a few of my favourites.

Madhuri Dixit.

Rani Mukherjee.
Priyanka Chopra.

Bollywood Look.
I started off by using Urban Decay Primer Potion.
I then used this beautiful gold shade (Urban decay - Half Baked) and worked it up to my eyebrow.

Next step, I used my beloved Accesorize Palette for this, the shade doesn't have a name but this is what it looks like..

It's a dark bergundy shade with green particles.
I worked this shade outwards and a little bit toward the inner eye.

One thing you found with a lot of the older Bollywood actresses was the amount of Eyeliner they wore. I loved how they had winged eyeliner on in almost every movie.

This was the finished look.

I hope you liked this post & again sorry for bad picture quality.

Emergency Cosmetics!

Afternoon you gorgeous lot!
I've missed blogging so SO much,  so thought i'd post a mini post before the Bollywood EOTD which will be at the end of the week (YAY!) =D
So, I had a thought today. If I was in a rush and needed to take my favourite cosmetics with me, what would I take? I own a lot of make-up and cosmetics in general. This is what I settled on..

Astral Cream. I've mentioned this cream in a lot of my posts. This cream is like fresh air to my skin, it feels amazing, its so light and you can use it as an all over moisteriser :) You can purchase it at Superdrug, Tescos, Wilkinsons & Bodycare.

St Ives. Apricot Scrub. I use this every morning, I love this scrub as it takes all the dead skin off your face and makes it feel so smooth and clean.

MAC Sunny by Nature Skin finish. I love this stuff. I use it as a blusher as well as an all over skin finish depending on my mood. I don't wear foundation on a daily basis, If i'm in a rush i'll give my skin a once over with this amazing product. I love it, and it lasts ages!!

Bobbi Brown Gel Pot. This gel liner has to be my favourite. Its so smooth and so easy to use. I can't go a day without eyeliner so this would be a must!! hehe x
Urban Decay Palettes. I own quite a few Urban Decay palettes, they are so useful, you can wear them lightly for that everyday look or you can mix and blend colours for that heavier look.

What products would you take in your handbag or suitcase if you were in a rush?
Hope you liked this post.

M.I.A.

Hi lovelies, hope you have all had a fab weekend!
Just a little message for you all.
My laptop has totally crashed on me *Boo!* I might be M.I.A. for a week or so. But *fingers crossed* If I can get the laptop fixed this week we'll have an exciting and well overdue EOTD post at the end of the week ;) Miss you already

Mother's Day.

DON'T PANIC! Its not till the 3rd April :) I thought i'd write up a little post before the day to give you ideas on what to buy.
Like Valentines Day, Mother's day should be everyday.
My mum is honestly SUPERMUM! and i'd love to spoil her silly, but it's a tough one when your bank account hates you haha. I have a lot of young readers, students and even jobless graduates (like myself!) There's always a solution!

I know everyone loves to make this day special, including myself but sometimes it costs.
It doesn't have to cost a lot this year. You can spoil your Mum without spending a whole lot.
Here are some money saving gift ideas..

Flowers. Whether you buy them from your local Market or Supermarket. Supermarket's especially do fabulous bunches for under £10. Which is amazing!

Chocolates. Mum's always complain about calories, but they all have those days where they just need CHOCOLATE! So they'll definitely come in handy :)
Hotel Chocolat is always a winner!!!

Yankee Candles. I love candles in general, but Yankee Candles are amazing. They come in so many different scents, and sizes. They are so affordable, and colourful too. Perfect for every room in the house. You can now buy them in Hallmark, Clintons & some House of Fraser stores.

Cupcakes. Whether you buy them, or make them yourself. Pretty cupcakes always go down a treat.

Perfume. I am a MASSIVE fan of Avon Perfumes. They are so affordable and smell so so good, I wrote a post not too long ago about my Obsession with perfumes and one of my top perfumes 'Little Black Dress' was an Avon perfume. At the moment they have any two perfumes for £12. I love when they have little offers. I'd make a big gift box of different bits & bobs. Mum's will love it! Left the link here for you if you want to have a little peek at their amazing offers.

Photography. Snap some new photos of you & siblings for example, or even have old photos made larger. Buy a stunning frame. Memories are priceless, She would so appreciate this!

Pamper Day. You can book Manicures & Pedicures for under £10-15 these days. or if you fancy it, why not buy your own Manicure/Pedicure kit and make a day of it with the rest of the girlies in your family. Makeovers are so much fun!

What ever you decide to do for Mother's Day. I hope you all have an absolutely lovely day.

Not so 'Rock Chick'..

Hello my darlings :)
Firstly, How are you liking the brand new layout? :) It's definitely more me.
Also i'm now on Blog Lovin' & have my own Facebook page. The links are on the left hand side so be sure to add me if you want :)

So, the Summer is coming up & for the first time in ages I have really long hair!
I don't want to straighten my hair a lot during the summer, I tend to keep it up in a bun or have it cut. But this year I would love that natural 'beachy, wavy' look.
My hair used to be too thick. But over the last few years it's become thinner. Anyways, I bought this spray..

I purchased this from Superdrug for £5.99 (150ml). The packaging caught my eye straight away. I hadn't seen this brand before & in all honesty, I loved the colours used. I had a little read of what this 'Wave Spray' was supposed to do.

It says "the spray is specifically formulated to create sexy waves. The flexible formula means that hair still feels soft and light, without that ‘crispy’ feel left by similar sprays. Plus it has a clever wave memory retention, so your tousled look will effortlessly stay in place."
I bought it and tried it out. This was the outcome.

Washed hair, didn't use conditioner.

Directions: "Spray liberally all over towel dried hair. Blow dry the hair roughly, scrunching the hair upwards to create a wave."

I sprayed liberally like it said. It smells of men's aftershave which is a little off putting. Anyway, after spraying liberally, I used my hair dryer on the highest speed and scrunched away..

I was expecting something to happen, especially after spraying so much Wave Spray into my hair. This was the end result..

Side shot.
Back shot.

In all honesty, I don't think my hair has looked straighter. haha. My hair always looks like this after it has been blow dried. So, this product did absolutely nothing.
The only change in my hair was the weight. The product had weighed my hair down a lot.

My verdict: this product is awful! It doesn't do what its supposed to do. I definitely wasted £5.99 and wouldn't recommend it at all. It might be that it's okay for very fine hair. But, that should be stated on the packaging.

Have any of you tried the 'Rock Chick' hair products yet?

Hope you enjoyed my first product review.

"These are a few of my favourite things.."

1. My Blackberry (Millie) Yes, I named her. I can't go anywhere without her :) x

2. My Family & Friends. Life would be rubbish without my loving family & gorgeous, funny, psychofreak-ish friends hehe I do love them more than anything. x

3. Love/Romance. If you read my recent post about the most Perfect Night In, You'd already know that most of my DVD collection is filled with Romantic movies.
I love watching & reading about the most amazing Love stories. I can't help it. Just a sucker for Love.

4. Pampering. I take pride in making sure my nails always have a decent polish with no chips, my hair looks neat etc That's probably because i'm a little Obsessive, Compulsive. eek. But hey, that isn't a bad thing at all. It's the perfect time to spend with your girls or your mum/sister etc.

5. The Kardashians. EVERYONE knows how much I love them. I think they're fab Fashion & Style icons. I love that they embrace their curves and considering they live in LA, thats rare.

6. Jersey Shore. I don't really watch many British shows in all honesty. Not a fan of any soaps, But I am addicted to American Shows. I have to have my fix of Jersey Shore at least once a week :) Oh & I love Pauly ;) x

7. Nando's My mum tells me off so much for going to Nando's so often. I must go about three times a month. I know some of my readers don't live in the UK, so i'll explain hehe It's the best Portuguese Spicy Chicken restaurant here in the UK. Its so good! I practically live there..hehe oopsie.

8. Starbucks. Caramel Macchiato. Enough said. I don't have a Starbucks in my hometown, so I make sure I go to one every time i'm in Milton Keynes or at The Bullring x

9. Eyeliner. I own a lot of make-up. But I don't wear a lot on a day to day basis. But one thing you won't ever see me without is Eyeliner. Even at the GYM, I've always got Eyeliner on.

10. MUSIC! What would life be like if we had no music? I love anything & everything. I'm obsessed with going to gigs. So far i've been to see Red Hot Chili Peppers, JLS, BLUE (haha), Melanie Fiona, Alicia Keys, J.Cole, Drake & Bruno Mars. Not bad hehe x

I hope you guys have enjoyed getting to know me a bit better :)

Hey baby! I think I wanna Marry You.

Hello again!
I felt the need to give Bruno his own post because, let's face it, he's beautifully amazing..Just the way he is ;)
As a lot of my Facebook Friends & Twitter followers know, i'm still buzzin' from last nights gig at the HMV Instituite in Birmingham.

I was very close which was amazing. He played nearly every song off his album 'Doo wops & Hooligans'
Unfortunately, due to the lighting my photos didn't come out too well, I did promise to take lots of photos for you, so instead I've uploaded my videos to YouTube which is better than photos hehe. The quality isn't amazing but it does the job :) Bruno Videos!

I hope you enjoy watching them. He is just so talented, if some of you aren't Bruno fans. I really do recommend his album and i'm sure, one day you'll love him as much I do too hehe.
