Raishma - Bespoke Bridal Collection 2015

Wedding Season is upon us.. how exciting!
I so miss planning for my wedding. So if you are currently planning.. Good luck!
If you need any advice, do email me.
unleeshd.alisha@gmail.com

Raishma is a boutique based in London offering bespoke ladies clothing. Raishma offers some fantastic pieces, I would say around half of the clothing is Asian style and the rest is quite Western. Raishma has an online shop which is currently offering 10% to customers if they sign up to the Raishma clothing Newsletter. Link to website, below.

The brand has been around since 1998, creating pieces of clothing that incorporate your design ideas, making the perfect designer dress. The clothing is of great quality. Raishma Islam has been trained under the very lady who designed Princess Diana's wedding dress, Elizabeth Emmanuel. How fabulous!

Raishma is one very few British Asian designers who actually designs and creates the dress in the UK rather than designing here and having outfits made abroad.
This is great as you can see your outfit being made bit by bit. I know that is one frustration I had when having my Bridal dress made, it was being made in Mumbai so I had no idea if my design ideas would go together. It was just a matter of waiting and hoping.

Raishma provides her clients with the best, personal one to one service. She is only booking 50 brides this year to make sure all brides get her personal attention and she is able to create the perfect bespoke dresses.

The 2015 collection ranges from Traditional Asian bride to Contemporary Western style.

Raishma was recently at the Asian Bride Show, just look at how stunning this catwalk looks. The Vintage Rose dress was inspired by the gardens at Kensington Palace which I think is amazing. Raishma visited the palace and was inspired by her surroundings.

Raishma's brand is known to various celebrities such as Laila Rouazz, Priya Kalidas, Mel B, Shobna Gulati and even the lovely Meera Syal.

From gawping through this website, I can safely say that I am in LOVE with the ready wear on this website. The Kaftans especially, I can't get over just how beautiful they are. They are perfect if you're off to somewhere Hot and exotic. ( I kinda want to book a holiday now just so I can purchase one hehe )

Happy wedding season, people!!
I hope you enjoy looking at these pieces as much as I have.

Sophia Soraya Make up - REVIEW

As a beauty blogger and a LOVER of beauty products, choosing my make- up artist for my wedding wasn't going to be easy.
I searched for months as I knew what I wanted but just needed to find that person who just KNEW the look I wanted to go for.
It was like fate, as Sophia doesn't live too far away from me. I described how I wanted the works, heavy make up, super glam, high up do. She was THE ONE!

This is the look we had settled for on my trial. Sophia is so sweet, she tried different looks on me and was very patient.

We made a few changes on the actual day which is always bound to happen once you've got the real wedding outfit on. I absolutely LOVED the vintage hair do in my trial, but I wanted to go simpler. You cannot go wrong with a simpler look, it's timeless. I decided on a centre parting instead.

I told Sophia I wanted a classic look, Pakistani look. Heavy make up, very big on the eyes. I told her I loved the Mughal/Jodha Akbhar/ Umrao Jaan type of look. Everything I asked of her, she did. If she thought something didn't look good, she spoke up. Which I loved!
I've heard a few girls tell me about their awful experiences with certain make up artists, giving them time frames, adding extra costs for last minute things on the morning. You don't need that stress on your special day. My Videographer was asking Sophia to hold her poses and she didn't mind at all. Put me at ease completely.
Sophia doesn't charge stupidly high prices either. She's worth checking out.
Thank you so much Sophia. You're an absolute star!

I am a big fan of Sophia's work. I hope you all add her to Instagram " Sophiamakeupartist "and check her work out.

She's getting herself onto YouTube soon too. Keep an eye out :)

Natural tan removing scrub - Some news!

Happy Saturday my dollies!
I wrote a little status on Facebook & Twitter recently about a natural scrub i'd conjured up at home. I gave it a go for a few weeks and here I am to disclose the info :D

Found on my facebook page, love it!

So, for some reason when then sun's out, my forearms are the only place that tan, I wouldn't care so much if I was covered from head to toe but as it's on my forearms only, My arms look ridiculous.
I get super self conscious as my arms become super super dark compared to the rest of my body.

They say Turmeric is brilliant for removing a tan and brightening the skin.

NOTE: This is NOT a skin lightener. It merely removes the dead skin cells bringing out your NATURAL skin tone again.

Ingredients are so simple.

3 tablespoons granulated Sugar
1 tablespoon Coconut Oil ( Almond would be great too)
1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric (haldi)

I mixed it all up, so it was a nice thick paste.
If your paste isn't thick, just add more sugar.
It can get real messy, so I did this before I had a shower. Stand in the bath or shower and scrub the areas you want to put it on. I personally wouldn't advise putting it on your face but that can be your own decision.

I washed it off with luke warm water. Your skin will feel super soft due to the coconut oil, after doing it once or twice a week for a month or two, you will see such a difference.
I would also use an old towel to dry it off with as the turmeric doesn't come off completely in the shower.

Perfect timing, as my Big Fat Indian Wedding prep is about to start.
I won't be blogging now for a couple months. Keep in touch with me through Instagram & Twitter @UnLeeshd
I will miss blogging but I WILL be back :)
Thank you for all of your lovely messages of support and well wishes for the wedding. I have a lot of love for you all.
See you all very soon, just call me MRS UNLEESHD :) x x x

Fuzz Free "Forever!" - Laser me up!

When I say "Forever" it's not really forever but as long as you keep up with treatments, you will be fuzz free for a hell of a lot longer than if you got waxed.

So.. YES! I've recently started having Laser hair removal done.
I will be having my whole body done, eventually.
At the moment, I am having facial hair, neck, underarms and arms zapped.
I've only had 3 treatments so far, but I will be having them done once a month until my wedding in August.
I go on my honeymoon in September too, so it will be lovely to be hair free for longer. Gradually, I will be adding a different part of the body to the list until my whole body has been zapped.

Skin is sectioned before the treatment.

Does it hurt?

Erm.. I won't beat around the bush. I find it quite painful, but this all depends on your pain threshold.
I used to be quite good when it came to pain but even my eyebrows hurt me these days.
It's a weird sensation, the laser is hot and zaps your skin one shot after another, yet you have a cooling tube which blows out cold air to ease the pain.
I have also found that the thinner the hair, the less you feel it. I have thinner hairs on my upper arm and I sit happily through that.
Underarms last around 2 minutes each but I find that a little on the painful sides. My appointment lasts around 20 minutes. Its a pretty fast treatments and my lovely Laser consultant is very thorough.

Luckily.. you're allowed to take a paracetomol 30 minutes before your appointment which I am beginning to do.

After a week or so you do see the difference.
After my first treatments, my underarms didn't grow back until 2 weeks later.
And when I say grow, I mean the tiniest amount. I've seen & felt a visible difference already, this makes the pain worth it!

BE CAREFUL!
Before starting any type of laser treatment, please research into it and ask professionals on their opinions.
The laser used on me is a Long pulsed ND - YAG laser, which is one of the best for Asian skin tones. (Polaris Medical Laser) Lasers can cause discolouration to Asian skin in particular due to the amount of melanin in our skin.
Disclaimer: Every persons skin is different & will react differently to every laser.

Before & After the treatment.

You have to shave the places you are having lasered.
This is so the laser can get deep into the hair follicle.
As well as shaving, you can't have any Cosmetics on the skin either.
If your skin has any sort of cosmetic on it, the laser will burn your skin, which can lead to dark skin patches. You must be careful.
After around 24 hours, you can go ahead and put as many cosmetics on your skin as you wish to :)

I do think laser is the perfect option, especially if your hair is very visible like mine.
I have a light skin tone but dark hair, so it's always visible.
I can't wait to keep having these treatments done. It can work out expensive dependant on how much you're having done but I'd much rather pay the extra knowing I don't have to worry about shaving or waxing anymore.

If you would like any more info on the Laser i'm using or anything about the treatment itself.. Email me at UnLeeshd.alisha@gmail.com.

Melanie Slade (Walcott)- Wedding Fashion.

I have nothing else to say than.. how STUNNING does Melanie look? This dress is everything I look for in a good wedding dress. It's classy, shows the correct amount of cleavage. The dress is beautifully shaped with the loveliest little detail. She even has a little sparkle in there too.

Theo Walcott.. always looks super handsome ;-)

The couple got married in Florence, Italy. Perfetto.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Walcott. They looked amazing!

Favourite Movie and Song of the Month - Wedding Special.

It's JUNE already! I feel like this year is just whizzing by.
First and Foremost.. I want to Congratulate one of my good friends, Adam (Adge!) as he got married yesterday!!
Congrats Adam & Sarah.. I wish you a lifetime of nothing but happiness.

I'll be dedicating this post to them, this month.
I've chosen a movie and song to relate to weddings.

Movie of the Month.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding

This has to be one of my favourite movies of all time. Greeks are so similar to Indian's in the way they think. Traditions and all.. This film made me laugh as I could see my family doing and saying the same things. Great film, brilliantly funny. It's a must watch!

Song of the Month.

Bruno Mars - Marry You.

As most of you know, I am a MASSIVE Bruno Mars fan. The fact that I didn't get tickets for his tour this year is still a sensitive subject lol
This song is off his first album. I've completely rinsed the album, every song is a winner.. this one especially!

Enjoy!

Amir Khan weds Faryal Makhdoom - Fashion

If any of you know me, REALLY know me, you'll know just how wedding crazy I am.
I don't know whether it's because I grew up watching so many Bollywood films as a kid but I've always loved everything about weddings.

I was so eager to see these photos. I got my Hello Mag today :) Can I just say.. I ADORE this girls name.. FARYAL which in some languages means ANGEL.

The fashion at this wedding is stunning, they both compliment each other well. Here are a few photos from the Hello! Mag shoot.

Faryal stuck to the tradition Red and Gold colours for her wedding which is classic and so timeless.
She oozes class and looks beautiful.
Amir Khan is wearing a Traditional Sherwani, I can imagine both outfits weigh a lot due to the sequin/gem detail.

Faryal went for a very smokey look on the eyes which a lot of Asian Brides seem to be doing, if you look at recent Bridal tutorials on YouTube, you'll find that most are doing similar looks to Faryal's.
The look really suits her though as she kept her lips nude.
Faryal went quite simple with her Mendhi and jewellery, she let her ghagra/lengha/dress "do the talking."

I loved looking through these photos. There's something so great about looking through wedding photos :)
