Skin Therapy.. The UnLeeshd Way.
Hi dolls! I've been meaning to write this post for a little while now. Thank you to those that have mentioned my "Clear Skin" I hope after this post I don't jinx myself and end up with Adult Acne etc lol *CROSSED FINGERS*
I am lucky enough to say that during my teenage years I never suffered from "Teenage spots"
Only downside to that is, everytime I get even the tiniest of spots I Panic! ha & also I always feel like I might get em really late (Really hope I don't.)
There are a few things I do to keep my skin healthy. Best of all is they are all the most simplest tips which I'm sure you have all heard before but never the less, I'll write em anyway =)
1. I don't use any other soap other than "Honey, I washed the Kids" from Lush Cosmetics. It's a very soft soap which does the cleaning without drying the skin out. Honey, naturally is a moisturiser so it's good for your skin. As well as that, it smells gorgeous!
2. After washing my face, I moisturise VERY liberally. Using ASTRAL moisturiser (Purchase it in Superdrug/Boots) It's very affordable & lasts ages. My nan used this cream when she moved to England, She used it on all of her daughters (inc my mum) & Mum has used it on all of us. If any of you guys saw my nan, or my mum you wouldn't think they had a Grandaughter/Daughter of 22 years old. It's fabulous. Throughout this blog, I have always mentioned and recommended this cream. I think it's played a massive part in how clear my skin is.
3. Water. I gave up fizzy drinks when I was a teenager. I do drink fizz on a night out and special occasions. But on a day to day basis, I always drink Water & Cordial. Also, I believe a lot of caffeine makes your skin look haggered, so i've cut down majorly because i'm a TEA O'holic. I drink one cup of normal tea a day & the rest are herbal teas :)
4. I stay away from all those highly scented lotions & creams, I just think they are loaded with so much rubbish. The only scented cosmetic companies I've ever trusted are The Body Shop & Lush. (There are many more decent stores, these are just the 2 I shop at.)
5. Lastly, I tend to use foundations that are moisturising, & at the end of the day I always wash it off!
