*FIRST Beauty Post* Purple Smokey Eye

Hello there you gorgeous people!
I have LOVED reading your blogs and My Wish List has quadrupled hehe I want soo many products after reading all of your blog posts.
As a lot of my close & personal Twitter followers, Friends & Family know, PURPLE is my absolute favorite colour.

This is my first beauty post. I am a newbie so it isn't perfect but I hope in time they will get so much better :)

  1. MAC Face & Body Foundation (C5)
  2. Benefit IT Stick Concealer
  3. AVON Luxe Lace True colour Eyeshadow Quad
  4. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner (Black Ink)
  5. MAC Paints (Stilife)
  6. Nars, Orgasm Blush

, I started off with a moisturized face, I love using Astral, i've used it since i was a kid and *touch wood* I've always had flawless skin.

Next step,  blend the Face & Body foundation in really well. What I LOVE about this foundation is that it is so light, you only need a little pea sized amount for the full face.
It gives such a natural, flawless finish.
Face & Body Foundation, Great for light coverage

After blending this in well, I put the Benefit IT Stick on the 'dark circle' area to minimise the darkness and conceal blemishes.

Ready for the eye make-up..
I normally use Urban Decay primer potion as the base, but in this case I used the MAC paint in 'Stilife' as it's a creamy pink shade. Perfect base colour for the Purple smokey eye.

The eye with MAC Paint primer
The Avon palette is gorgeous, It has 4 lovely colours. (I will only be using the first 3)
I bought it when it first came out at the amazing price of £4. It is now £8.50, but so worth it!
A gorgeous sparkly white shade, two purple shades & a charcoal grey.
I started off with the white eyeshadow, you only need to use a little bit as the light purple is the main focus.
I went over the white with the purple, making sure I left the white eyeshadow visible in the inner corner of the eye.

The white & light purple blended in well.

Once both colours are on, use a good blending brush to add the darker purple.
I use the MAC 217 brush, which is amazing!
When doing this, I always start in the middle of the eye lid and work outwards, blending really well.

*It is important that you blend it well and outwards so that the smokey eye isn't too strong. You don't want it to look too harsh.*
This is what you should end up with.

If you want a darker smokey eye, then by all means use the Charcoal Grey shade. In this case the dark purple  was enough to give the effect I wanted.

Finish it off with a top eyeliner ( I used Bobbi Brown Gel Liner) and work it into the bottom.

This is the finished version.
I love finishing this look off with a gorgeous pink/coral blush. Nars 'Orgasm' blush is perfect! x x

I hope you like this post! eeek.

Lotsa love Leesh of UnLeeshd x x x
